Jack Dawson

Jack is a 20-year-old artist from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He studied art in Paris. He won his ticket to sail on Titanic in a poker game. He met and fell in love with Rose on Titanic's maiden voyage.





Rose DeWitt

"The last thing I need is another picture of me looking like a china doll. As a paying customer, I expect to get what I want."  ~Rose DeWitt Bukater



Rose is 17 years old and is engaged to Caledon Hockley. She rebelled against the rigid confines and expectations of Edwardian society controlling her destiny. Rose met and fell in love with Jack Dawson on Titanic's maiden voyage.

Cal is a 30-year-old member of a wealthy Pittsburgh steel family. He is engaged to Rose. As a wedding present for her, he purchased one of the largest and most valuable diamonds in the world, the legendary blue stone once worn by Louis XVI known as the Coeur de la Mer - the Heart of the Ocean.





Mrs. Margaret

Molly was the wife of a Colorado mining millionaire. Intelligent though self-taught, she was a plain-spoken woman without background in high society, who was generally shunned by the socialites of Denver. She was evacuated in lifeboat #6.





Ruth DeWitt

Ruth, mother of Rose. After the death of her husband, her family fell on hard times, but she was determined to achieve financial salvation through her daughter's marriage to Caledon Hockley.





Captain Edward

Smith joined White Star Line in 1880. His nickname was "the millionaire's captain." White Star had made it virtually a tradition to have Smith in command on the maiden voyages of its important ships. At the conclusion of Titanic's maiden voyage, Captain Smith was scheduled to retire in glory.





J. Bruce

Ismay,was the 50-year-old Managing Director of White Star Line. In 1907, in response to the competition posed by rival Cunard Line's new mammoth liners Lusitania and Mauretania, Ismay conceived of a trio of even larger, grander and more luxuriant ships that would re-assert White Star's dominance of the lucrative and prestigious transatlantic trade. Titanic was the second of this trio.





Spicer Lovejoy

Lovejoy was valet and bodyguard to Caledon Hockley. An ex-Pinkerton with a background in railroad security, his job was to keep Cal out of trouble and protect the family name. In the course of his duties, he was ready to use whatever means necessary, including the threat of physical force, to prevent anyone from interfering with his employer.





Thomas Andrews

"She can stay afloat for the first four compartments breached. But not five. As she goes down by the head, the water will spill over the tops of the bulkheads . . . at E deck . . . from one to the next . . . back and back. There's no stopping it."  ~Thomas Andrews



Andrews, then aged 39, was the Managing Director of Harland & Wolff Shipyards, nephew of Lord Pirrie (Harland & Wolff's chairman), and one of Titanic's main designers. Andrews himself brought along Titanic's complete blue-prints, and worked practically non-stop on the voyage, carrying a notebook everywhere, making notes about imperfections and ideas for improvements.





Fabrizio

Fabrizio was a young Italian, about 20, with dreams of finding success and happiness in America. A good friend of Jack Dawson's. He also won his ticket on the Titanic during the same poker game as Jack's.





Rose Calvert

"It's been 84 years........ and I can still smell the fresh paint. The China had never been used. The sheets had never been slept in. Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams. And it was. It really was."  ~Rose Calvert


The older version of Rose who comes back to tell her story and how Titanic sank after she finds out Brock has her drawing. She tells Brock and onlookers of her experience on Titanic.




Lizzy Calvert

"You actually believe this is you, Grandma?"  ~Lizzy Calvert


Lizzy takes care of her grandmother, Rose Calvert. She brings her grandmother to Brock so she can tell of her experience on the Titanic.




Brock Lovett

"If your grandma is who she says she is, she was wearing the diamond the day Titanic sank. And that makes you my new best friend."  ~Brock Lovett


Brock is a discoverer who wants to find "The Heart of the Ocean" which is a very rare diamond. He is so wrapped up in finding the diamond that he never even thinks about the TRUE story of Titanic and what happened. His attitude changes after Rose tells her story.
